The Shops at Heavenly Village are the place to visit this Christmas season with their Heavenly Holidays festivities. Each day and weekend until the end of the year is filled with holiday events for all ages! Here are our top 5 must-do event picks:
Disney at The Shops at Heavenly – Every Saturday in December
Enjoy some Disney fun every Saturday in December! From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. the ice rink at the Heavenly Village turns into a Disney fantasy, complete with favorite characters from Moana, Frozen, Paw Patrol, and others. In addition to skating, these fun Disney figures will be roaming the village, offering chances for photos and interaction. This is a free event.
Christmas Tree Lighting – Daily
Located in the heart of the Heavenly Village is the festively decorated 60-foot tall Christmas tree. Every evening at 7 p.m. there is a tree lighting ceremony, including caroling and fun for the whole family. This is a free event.
Heavenly Holidays Carnival – December 26-31
Featuring the Heavenly Express Train and Tahoe South Ferris Wheel, the Heavenly Holidays Carnival is a must-do event this holiday season! Passengers on the Heavenly Express will be treated to stops with cookies and hot cocoa, while riding around the Heavenly Village. Enjoy views from the Ferris wheel of the South Shore and lake during the day, and the spectacular twinkle of the holiday lights at night. Open to all ages daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., train rides are $4, and Ferris wheel rides are $5.
Meet Santa and Mrs. Claus – Daily
Take photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus in their ski shop! They will be available to meet and greet, as well as take photos in their photo with children of all ages. Located between Fire + Ice and Gunbarrel Tavern. This is a free event open daily from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Tahoe Santa Crawl – December 22
Join in Heavenly Village’s first annual Tahoe Santa Crawl! Participants are encouraged to dress up in their jolliest Santa costumes, and enjoy a restaurant and bar crawl around the village. Every restaurant and bar are participating and offering discounts on food and drinks. Santas can also enjoy live music and an after party at MontBleu’s Opal Nightclub; each Santa Crawl ticket includes free entry to Opal’s “Nightmare Before Christmas” themed event. The event starts at 8 p.m., and tickets are $10, which include a wristband and commemorative cup. Proceeds go towards Helena Kletch’s Fight Against Leukemia.
