President’s Day weekend is the perfect time to gather your family or friends and take a relaxing trip up to Lake Tahoe. Enjoy your 3-day weekend in one of the most beautiful places on Earth, with tons of activities and events happening for you to experience. February has so far offered a true preview of spring sunshine with beautiful blue skies and warm winter temperatures, while still maintaining great skiing conditions up on the mountain. Tahoe is in it’s true paradise form.
Presidents Day weekend in Tahoe will be filled with fun events and live entertainment. We recommend getting your skiing on during the day and enjoying the beautiful conditions, and then going out for an evening of fun to really fill your day with perfection. We have put some of the events that will be happening over Presidents Day weekend.
LIVE ENTERTAINMENT
Jonny Lang – Grammy award winning Jonny Lang has built a reputation as one of the best live performers and guitarists of his generation. At only 38 years old, Jonny has had a successful career spanning over two decades and has shared the stage with the most respected legends in music from The Rolling Stones, B.B. King, Aerosmith and Buddy Guy. Catch Jonny at the Montbleu Showroom Saturday, February 15th at 8pm.
Afroman – Grammy nominated American rapper, singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. Afroman gained world wide success in the early 2000’s and has never looked back. The hip-hop legend Afroman takes BLU Nightclub on Saturday, February 15th at 9pm.
The Improv at Harveys Cabaret
Enjoy a drink and catch some stand-up from the funniest names in comedy every week in the Cabaret Theater at Harveys Lake Tahoe. Shows happen at 9pm every Wednesday through Sunday. Fridays at 8 pm.
Magic Fusion at the Loft Theatre & Lounge
Magic Fusion is a nightly production show inside The Loft Theater in the Heavenly Village. The show features award-winning magicians from around the world, in a 107-seat live theater that adjoins a restaurant and high-end lounge. Show times are at 7pm Monday-Thursday, 7pm & 9pm Friday-Saturday, and 4:30pm & 7pm on Sunday.
Dark Star Orchestra at Harrah’s
Dark Star Orchestra is an American Rock band formed in Chicago, Illinois. They serve as a tribute band to the legendary Rock group The Grateful Dead. Since 1997, the band has been continuing the Grateful Dead concert experience. Catch Dark Star Orchestra at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe on Saturday, February 16th at 7:30pm.

Learn to Ride Fridays at Sierra at Tahoe
February is officially Learn to Ski/Ride Month, and Sierra-at-Tahoe is getting in on the action with three days of snowy fun, dedicated to getting beginners out on the slopes. Whether you’re learning, need a refresher or if you’re confident in your current abilities, maybe consider expanding your horizons + take a lesson in something you haven’t tried. This Presidents Day weekend, come to one of our favorite ski resorts and pick up on Tahoe’s greatest hobby. Takes place every Friday from 10am-4pm.
Après Ski at Heavenly Mountain
Come enjoy half price drinks and shareable street food after a long day on the mountain. From 3pm-5pm on both the California and Nevada side, you can stop by this popular local’s spot and celebrate with some great food and drinks.
Child Ski Center Theme Days at Diamond Peak
Just a short drive around the lake and over to Incline Village, Diamond Peak is a must visit Tahoe resort. The Child Ski Center is getting silly with themed days for the holiday weeks. Your kids will have tons of fun learning how to ski and walk away with a huge smile at the end of the day. This event will take place on Monday, February 17th from 9am-4pm.
